Diary of a Wimpy Kid,
Book 2: Roderick Rules
by Jeff Kinney
Book review by Natasha, age 13.
This is the second book of the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books. The first diary Roderick got ahold of, so this one Greg is keeping in his locker.
Greg’s dad made him go to a swimming lesson and Greg thinks it’s worse than middle school.
Greg got the “cheese touch” and gave it to a new kid. His class got pen pals and he got a nerd named Mamadoo Montpierre. His friend Rowley’s birthday is a day after that day so Greg got him a new video game. Greg had no money so he couldn’t buy it.
His mom made “mom bucks” out of Monopoly money and each mom buck equals 1 penny and she gave them 1,000 mom bucks. They are doing work and their mom said she will pay them 100 mom bucks for each bag of leaves they fill.
Manny is a grandma’s boy. Greg told his grandma when he was six that he hates her because he could not get ice cream before dinner.
Greg got a new nickname because he infiltrated the girls’ locker room at their Crossland High School. The end.
