Did you know that cribbage evolved from an earlier English game called "Noddy"? The man credited with inventing the cribbage game was a wealthy Englishman, gambler, and poet, Sir John Suckling.

Cribbage affords players both the anticipation of the luck of the deal as well as ample opportunity to exercise their skills in discarding and play.

Unlike most card games, which use paper and pencil to keep score, a Cribbage board is used for scoring.  Cribbage boards come in all shapes and sizes, but the most common one is the rectangular wooden board equipped with 121 holes that accommodate pegs. The board speeds up scoring and greatly reduces the chances for errors in computing scores.
