How Does the Library Notify Me?

Email notifications

You receive email notifications if you register your email address when you apply for your library card. You can deactivate it anytime with help from our staff.

Text notifications

Log in to your account with your barcode and PIN. Then opt-in SMS alert.

SMS Alerts Service Description

The SMS Alerts service allows you to receive text messages from the Library on your mobile device. After you opt into SMS Alerts, The Library sends you text messages alerting you when an item is due or ready for pick-up.

You can opt out of the SMS Alerts service at any time.

Message and data rates may apply.

Alert Notice Text Codes

All alert services originate from shortcodes 82453 or 35143. The Library will not contact you via text any other way.

You can also request our contact information from your mobile phone at any time by sending a text message with the word HELP to 82453 or 35143

Opt-In/Opt-Out Information

To opt out of Library Alerts, text STOP, STOP ALL, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE from your mobile phone to 82453 or 35143.

You may also opt out by logging into your library account and updating your patron record.

Frequency of program service

The Library will send SMS alerts whenever new items are available for you to pick up. Message frequency is based on profile. The Library does not charge for this service; message and data rates may apply.

Most carriers support this alert service.
