Susan feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to make a difference in her community. She became a member of the Jefferson County Library Association in 1992 and was able to work with a group of very determined ladies to pass the current Library District in 2000. As an elected board member since the District’s beginning, she has seen the library through many changes.
Dancing with the little residents of Jefferson County, Susan has taught pre-ballet for 31 years with Dance Arts Unlimited. “Making a difference, one child at a time, in a safe, loving, and creative environment has been one of my greatest joys”.
Susan attended Oregon State University and Western Business College before marrying her high school sweetheart, Dallas. After living in Portland and working as a legal secretary they moved back to Madras to raise their two children, Cameron and Carah.
Susan stays busy with her five grandchildren, a large extended family, and friends
